Staff were very engaging and helpful. Buffet breakfast was very good
The cost of the accommodation was too high, especially as it was supposed to be for 3 people but, as with most hotels, the room did not have a proper 3rd bed. A fold-out bed, less than comfortable, was used. Unless a proper triple room is provided, the cost for another person should be zero or something very small to cover towels etc. The menu for the one dinner we had in the dining room was poor. Perhaps we may have got a better choice in the cafeteria

The moment we stepped into Palacio Azcarate, we were captivated by the elegant French Classical style decor. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and ensure our comfort during our stay. One of the waitresses even arranged for us to visit the stunning church in the village, showcasing the kindness and attention to detail provided by the hotel. The large and comfortable bedrooms in traditional Spanish style were a treat to relax in after a day of exploring the beautiful town of Ezcaray. Despite being out of season, we still found some amazing walking trails in the valley and had a great time experiencing the varied and interesting food offerings in Ezcaray. I highly recommend this hotel for its exceptional service, elegant ambiance, and convenient location for exploring La Rioja.

We got great value for our money at Palacio Azcarate. The room was cozy and comfortable, with beautiful views of the sandstone church. The staff treated us with genuine warmth and helpfulness throughout our stay.
More variety of plates and cutlery at breakfast would have been helpful to transition from savory to sweet.
